Known throughout California and beyond, Adventist Health Delano (governed by Central California Foundation for Health) is a full-service community and regional teaching hospital. Adventist Health Delano serves 10 rural central California towns and is committed to providing an exceptional patient experience. With a total of 156 beds, Adventist Health Delano is a not-for-profit hospital with services including an Intensive Care Unit, a Sub-Acute Care Unit, a Medical Surgical Unit, a dedicated Surgical Pavilion and an Obstetrics/Gynecology Unit.

We also provide services through our clinics which includes three rural health clinics, Delano Women’s Medical Clinic, Delano Urgent Care and Wasco Medical Plaza.

Our commitment to meeting the healthcare needs of our communities is seen through the compassionate, quality care given by two speciality services: Adventist Health Delano Weight Loss and Wellness Program, and Delano Wound Care Clinic.

With over 130 physicians on the hospital’s active medical staff and additional courtesy or consulting physicians, patients are assured of receiving high-quality care in multiple specialties. Adventist Health Delano’s physicians are skilled in the most advanced procedures and technology, and provide personalized patient care in a warm and caring environment.

Adventist Health Delano is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP).

Adventist Health Delano opened its doors on January 17, 1974 as Delano Community Hospital. Over the past 35 years, Adventist Health Delano has grown in both size and technological expertise. Expansions in key departments have been the norm for the hospital. A 20,000-square foot wing addition allowed Adventist Health Delano to add 30 additional beds for acute care, including a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit as well as an enlarged inpatient laboratory and pharmacy department. Recent expansions have included adding a 64-slice CT and new MRI in the radiology department, and a Pediatric Unit. A hospitalist specializing in pediatrics is available 24-hours a day.

Adventist Health Delano (governed by Central California Foundation for Health) will continue its record of looking ahead to grow in order to meet future challenges and to meet the health care needs of the communities that it serves. This will be accomplished by fulfilling its mission of providing a safe haven of healing and wellness that services each individual in the spirit of kindness, dignity and excellence.
